Ultimate Fail

Oh its bad.

“GRANITE FALLS, Wash. — A 25-year-old man says he accidentally shot to death his 22-year-old girlfriend with a gun they used during drunken foreplay, said Rebecca Hover of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The man told detectives that he and his girlfriend of 10 years had been drinking at a party in their home Saturday night and afterward were intimate in bed.

He told police that he rubbed the loaded handgun all over his girlfriend after consuming more than one six-pack of beer. He said his girlfriend drank six bottles of Mike’s Hard Lemonade.

He said that the couple forgot about the gun until after having sex. He said he found the gun at the foot of the bed and picked it up. When he swung his arm toward his girlfriend, it went off, he told police.

He called 911, and deputies responded at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday to the home in the 23200 block of 134th Street Northeast in unincorporated Granite Falls.

Hover said, “He was adamant the shooting was an accident.”

He called himself an “idiot” several times during an interview with police and implied he would hurt himself for what he’d done, police said.

During the incident, the couple’s two young children were asleep in the same room on a different bed, Hover said.

The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail Sunday afternoon on a charge of first-degree manslaughter.

Hover said a background check indicated that there have been three previous domestic violence incidents involving the couple between 2007 and 2009, with the girlfriend as the victim.

The case remains under investigation.”

Idiots! Both of you. Lets identify the fail here.

1. Playing with a gun.
2. Foreplay with a gun. Honestly, a fucking sawzaw would have been better.
3. Girlfriend of 10 years!?! Shes 22.

4.  How do you forget about a gun? Never mind. I don’t even want to know what she was doing to you.

5.  THERE WERE TWO CHILDREN ASLEEP IN THE SAME ROOM DURING ALL THIS.

5a.  KIDS AND GUNS? Pick one.

5b.  KIDS AND SEX? What kind of dwelling is this? Go in another room.

6. Mikes Hard Lemonade.

7. Background check says there have been 3 prior cases of domestic violence involving the couple with the girlfriend as the Victim.  Quite frankly, I don’t know who to blame more for this one. The girl, for just going along with playing with a gun  knowing her abusive past, or the Guy for being an imbecile.

8.  Saying you were an idiot and that you would hurt yourself for what you did.  You killed her. You should kill yourself.  Do it now.

Im all about 2nd ammendment rights but my god there are some idiots out there ruining it for everyone else.  IDIOTS.

Nice Job Mr. President RE: NASA Budget

Outstanding news today from the White House regarding the future of NASA.

Details are covered in this document.

“This new plan:
• Advances America’s commitment to human spaceflight and exploration of the solar system, with a bold new vision and timetable for reaching new frontiers deeper in space.
• Increases NASA’s budget by $6 billion over 5 years.
• Leads to more than 2,500 additional jobs in Florida’s Kennedy Space Center area by 2012, as compared to the prior path.
• Begins major work on building a new heavy lift rocket sooner, with a commitment to decide in 2015 on the specific heavy-lift rocket that will take us deeper into space.
• Initiates a vigorous new technology development and test program to increase the capabilities and reduce the cost of future exploration activities.
• Launches a steady stream of precursor robotic exploration missions to scout locations and demonstrate technologies to increase the safety and capability of future human missions, while also providing scientific dividends.
• Restructures Constellation and directs NASA to develop the Orion crew capsule effort in order to provide stand-by emergency escape capabilities for the Space Station – thereby reducing our reliance on foreign providers.
• Establishes the technological foundation for future crew spacecraft needed for missions beyond low Earth orbit.
• Increases the number of astronaut days in space by 3,500 over the next decade, extends the life of the International Space Station, likely beyond 2020, and enables the launching of astronauts on new vehicles from the Kennedy Space Center 1- 2 years sooner.
• Jumpstarts a new commercial space transportation industry to provide safe and efficient crew and cargo transportation to the Space Station, projected to create over 10,000 jobs nationally over the next five years.
• Invests in Florida, adding $3 billion more for the Kennedy Space Center to manage – a 60 percent increase.
• Makes strategic investments to develop critical knowledge, technologies, and capabilities to expand long-duration human exploration into deep space in a more efficient and safe manner, thus getting us to more destinations in deep space sooner.
• And puts the space program on a more ambitious trajectory that pushes the frontiers of innovation to propel us on a new journey of innovation and discovery deeper into space.

From a national stand point:

2500-10000 new jobs! Thats what im talking about.  A chance to spur innovation in one of this country’s most succesful government programs, who would have thought? Who knows how many untold billions of dollars will be made off of this.  New technological advances, the country can never have enough of them.   This should also surge the aerospace market as there will be plenty of subcontracts and NASA’s current outreach is to start pawning off some services to the private industry as it is typically a cheaper more efficient route to get space tasks done.  This should also increase the activity on the ISS from the US. Negating any reason to ever use a foreign government to put US astronauts in space.  It was put through before the rethuglicans got to it.

From a personal stand point:

This may finally enable me to move out west as it is expected to create roughly 2500 jobs in Texas, Florida and Colorado. 3 states I wouldn’t mind moving too.
